Rocky's not a bad place to live, I mostly reckon but sometimes it seems like HELL. During the sweltering heat of summer things get a bit boring I find. The streets are deserted ,with most people being inside shopping centres or in front of their computers.  Accompanied by an air conditioner, fan and many stubbies of beer at hand to help combat dehydration and boredom whilst complaing about and fearing the heat outside. I amazingly find pushbike riding enjoyable when it's hot ?

I've noticed Beef Australia 2006 occurring in Rockhampton. Each morning the streets are more crowed than usual with lots of visitors wearing acubra hats going for morning walks amongst all the traffic.

Red Rooster bandit as mentioned in a previous post has been arrested.
The person was also responsible for another holdup in Rocky also.

Country Music star Lee Kernaghan has sold the Great Western Hotel.
Two Central Queensland families have bought it today 2 May 2006.
